damn straight

partners dinner rules, Mr. Godrej was fantastic as always not to mention Norma from Cadbury schweppes who have made anyone a convert with her talk on the history of CS's and AIESEC's partnership.
today the 31st- the global talent fair ruled some more, with some hordes of people landing up for their shot at some of the biggest names in the indian and international industry. By pride and joy of presence, the Indian School of Business had an influx like none of their road shows and it was a kickass feeling seeing their breathless and excited faces post the 3 hour event. Pictures coming up soon...the party is on here now...
50 interviews have also been completed for the India Brand Equity foundation undoubtedly one of the most exciting organizations in the Capital today- I dont know how any emerging or even well developed country can do without an entity like this- making concerted efforts through tangible means to 'brand' the nation. Check out some of their resources and their work, as gold partners of the conference its been amazing to see the representatives (aiesec alumni themselves) create inroads with the large and diverse set of corporates present at IC. We have (coming back to the point) now captured a number of amazing testimonials from young leaders of AIESEC of their representative countries talk about India as the fastest growing free market democracy which was a thrill. Will let you know where you can grab the ultimate documentary from.
The stress has been unbelievable, my hand is attached to my phone in turn attached to my ear. The day is punctuated by stress beyond human comprehension and insane fun just the same. last night I danced with senior representatives from ABN AMRO, Cad Schweppes, PWC etc etc...on kajra re. hahahahaa..INdia night was gorgeous...for those of you who dont know what the heck is going on, these are just snippets of the most kickass show on earth- International congress 2005
Im alive, and thats half the happiness and reason for masti. September 1st is a few hours away. the month i head to switzerland and the month i wrap up one of the mind fucking and yet enriching 'jobs' ive ever had....
aaahhhh formal banquet is 4 days away....mom and dad coming as well...dont know if ill laugh or cry...have made and devastatingly enough lost a few friends in these past dew days....i guess thats life....and i love it...

one of those nights

hmmm...sitting in my boxers at the jaypee palace hotel in agra , in what is the the half-set up 'cc' chill out room ...
feeling a bit surreal...dont remember a night as quiet as this for a long time. no blasting sound of that god damned generator right behind my ear, no sounds of lound doors being banged with screams of goo'night by club 104 (for those who know this u know what i mean). etc etc...
wireless internet streams through the corridors of what shall be the fabled host of over 1000 people in the next 10 days.
its crazy...im nervous yet excited, anxious yet exhausted...multidunal feelings envelope me everyday...and i guess at the end of every night if i can take a deep breath, smile and close my eyes with satisfaction- its worth it.
IC....2005..India...said it so many times in the course of my job that it seems like a cliche....so close to it now i know its anything but. i think ill sleep here itself, although theres no mattress:( ...the air conditioning is lulling....
tomorrow is the 25th, loads to do, loads more to wrap up and even loads more to commence....its a party...
song of the week, and oh boy, song of the frickin month goes to undoubtedly one of the coolest 'revalations' ive made--thanks to the coolest irish guy ive ever met:) mark watson- 'revalate' by the frames. After listening to their entire live album i got inspired to finally pick up the guitar lying in the cc hotel - sheela inn and jam up with sir watson for over a year on some pentatonic blues and slightly rockish rhythm tunes....was a blast...
doubt if ill get the time again in the next 2 weeks to blog up a storm...so just wanted to wish the world a bloody good night, bloodier good day tomorrow and hope that all is at peace; more importantly i hope ur waking up excited, interested and hopefully having ur teeth ache with the prospect of mind numbing motivation. After all, what else is life about ??
paarty on...van chitgough's going to his much deserved midnight ipod sessions of 'when the heart just stops' playing by the frames live album...aaaaaah blisssssss.

find your hero:)

Tom recently put up a pretty kickass picture at his blogsite...this one would give it some competition....
31 countries, 60 fantastic individuals coming together in the effervescent village that is Agra....ready to bring the world (and i do mean the world) down to India. no fear, no remorse, no looking back...this is one of the most awesome moments I have ever had in my life, not to mention aiesec.
ladies and gentleman who have the honor and brilliance of visiting van chitgough's musings- I have one piece of advise for you - remember this picture, cos it truly is full of heroes...some1 from this picture is going to be next great leader, political and business, the next big change agent, in and out of aiesec....basically the next big thing....
The moment is brought to you from the terrace of an obscure and tiny little 2 and a half star hotel in an even more obscure part of agra near the east gate of the taj mahal. What is funny is that one of the world's greatest monuments pales in comparison to the energy and beauty that shown through this evening. Luigi shouting 'kajra re' and frequent intervals, dandy's killer speech, ankit with his ridiculous abuses in hindi, the birthday celebtrations with the cake eating pavel (and not the other way around)...the gorgeous ER team pictures; the fantastic dinner facilitated by the ever smiling jesse, yours truly screaming 'pranay' at trenton (who obvously didnt know that i was doing)...hell the list would go on...my cheeks were hurting after the smiling and festivities...
but you know whats even cooler? this is after 4 weeks of Preparation! hahaha...the damn thing weve been working for begins in less than 24 hours...but the power of just our collaboration felt worth a 'formal banquet'...known officially as the IC KICK OFF!
i had a frickin blast...and i cant wait to recreate moments like this over the next 15 days...

crowded heavens..

well, easily one of the best 'speakers' ive had the priveleage of witnessing, dr. chitgopekar (aka van chitgough's mom) delivered a most enlightening talk on religion (focus on hinduism) and the diversity and excitement of divinities that 'rule' the ideologies of a major mass of this fantastic country. The talk , delivered to my newly extended and highly delightful congress committee team was undoubtedly a good change from the norm (which is basically mind numbingly back breaking work) and this is an official thanks to her for delivering what was a well balanced and nicely encapsulated look at religion and it's impact on various aspects of Indian society.

it was unfortunate that i was half in a coma, i have to say the talk got me most energized and the reaction of a lot of the CC proved that this is one topic noone can deny, least of all ignore.
Pictures shall be uploaded soon:) and I can now imagine why half the planet flocks at her feet on what is easily her expertise and interest.
Her next book, for those who are interested (published by penguin) is going to be a fantastic look at Lord Siva in the form of a biography- the twist being that it is explored from the eyes of various other divinities that came into contact with him (Lord Parvati, ganesa, Vishnu etc etc)....look out for this space for details on the launch and access online....
to love something as much as this, and to have the pleasure of actually disseminating it young people across the world is a job worth those of high commitment and certainly great skill...hats off to you mom:)

righteous part II

well this is long awaited and long deserved for the person in mention. After several entitities 'missed out' on this amazing individual's brilliance and skill, one has finally seen the light and it is with tremendous pleasure that I would like to announce the new AIESEC and UBS Global Coordinator- Ms. Niharika Pande!:)...yes the one and only gorgeous lady of my life is joining the country flanked by the Alps (by my side;) to take over this remarkably interesting role and I wish her the very best...UBS is lucky and im sure they know it....heres to a wonderful year in europe...skiing, snowball fights and iced tea by the mountains awaits:)....la la la...some1 play 'feel good inc' by the gorillaz right now please....

good as gold!

hey hey hey! and the boy's back....test results are back, im fine and dandy (no not dhanur) and hail and hearty once again....
first thing to embrace me ofcourse is the sweet smell of IC work which I must say was a good feeling, 3 meetings yesterday in the beautiful satellite town of gurgaon (now you know i must be feeling like sunshine if i called gurgaon beautiful) accompanied by my faithful stead- the ever joyful and humorous Mr. Rishabh Chopra.
returning to agra at the end of this week in all probability for an interesting sesion on the 'Indian MC' which should be most enlightening , delivered by none other than Ms. Niharika Pande...hmm hmmmm hmmmmmmmm... wonders will never cease. thanks for all the wishes guys....was damn sweet of you...and jobless hahahaha sorry kidding kidding.

down with the sickness

the balanced life evaded me and i was too weak to embrace it....have fallen sicker than I can ever remembered have being - 3 weeks before IC. My job is at its most crucial period and this is the state im in....praying to the heavens to get me back on my feet. Disturbed named its album down with the sickness and i would give my right arm to hear 'stupify' and 'voices' right now but i cant find the damn cd. hung up and fucked up here in delhi, bedridden....this is what low means i guess. Im eating bananas, popping multivitamins and sleeping at 10pm everyday now , and if ive got typhoid or something along those lines that doctors are proclaiming - hell i dont know what ill do.
hope noone reads this....its too depressing even for me to see....but when u gotta let it out, u gotta let it out. hope the rest of the world is doing better.
