back to the classics

and officially....bob seger's classic hit 'like a rock' still rings strength in my ears....
'20 years' whered they go? 20 years....i dont know....
i sit and i wonder sometimes
where theyve gone....
sometimes late at night, ohhhh when im bathed in the firelight
the moon comes crawling a ghostly white
and i recall
I recaaallllllll
like a rock....standing arrow straight
like a rock
charging from the gate
like a rock...
carrying the weight
like a rock...
'champions league- that ones for you'

sith is it!

besides the digs at yoda's insane way of constructing sentences and the insanely drawn out costumes, I have to say yesterday's first ever attempt to jump onto the star wars craze was not half bad:)....a good friends intense marketing efforts to promote 'return of the sith' helped as well- kartik hearty congratulations on the conversion of a new 'junkie....
followed closely was bollywood's attempt to scare the shit out of me - naina, which I must say in parts was bone-chilling (but only considering the concept) and I can see why eye donation agencies in various parts of developed India are rising up in arms against the rumours and prejudices it can create in various parts of rural and urban India as well.
Anyway, woke up to a hot and sunny saturday morning here in kickass Mumbai, woefully counting the days down to when some of my closest friends, collegues and peers will bid adieu, swaying my head to alice in chains' arguably greatest song- 'man in the box' and admiring vinay jaju's new apple...., while my compatriot sagar in estonia informs me that we already have 10 registrations for the greatest ever show on earth - International Congress 2005.....

break the habit

a perpetuous cold, cough and week feeling in the knees finally drove me to visiting a doctor today, accompanied sweetly enough by the birthday girl Ms Nayantara Pani herself. Turns out I have a bad chest infection and some other medical hoo-haa i dont care to delve into, what really caught my eye was the sight of an anti-smoking flyer I had seen all too many times before....
but this time, it was different, having quit now for 80 days to the dot today, I have realized what a stranglehold I had broken away from in what can be defined as one of life's easily most paradoxical addictions. Smoking isnt weed, it isnt ecstacy nor is it one too many swigs of JDs, its a momentary puff of 'chill' that is taking half of the planet down with it. hmmm..sounds much too fluffy and ironic coming from a smoker of 5 years like myself...but the truth is this, kicking the cancer stick has had to be one hell of an achievement for me , not to mention , hopefully an inspiration for close friends and buddies around. Dhanur, Sam, Pani, chopra, vasu, gautam and millions of other college, school, aiesec and random brothers and sisters- who happen to see this even 10 years hence....give me a call....im here to show you how...:)P.S> thanks Niharika , who i know has been instrumental in making this happen...

the good life? nomadlife?

it seems the good dr.chitgo is now on nomadlife.org:) testing testing.....

Specialization is for insects

This one quote that I saw inspires me to diversify my talents, skills and experiences more than anything else. How this might relate to my future careers, or to the advice I give to colleagues and loved ones; I do not know....but constant with 'blog' heaven , this surely is something worth keeping in mind:)

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balanceaccounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, giveorders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, and die gallantly.

Specialization is for insects.

song of the week

I shall also (as part of being a self proclaimed music expert) be posting a song for the week at the one stop shop for random chillings- ...
this week well its none other than the man who started off the gothic rock experience way back in the 60s when the rest of the world was talking about hippy love and beatle-mania crap....the ozzman aka ozzy osbourne....one of best rock-ons with the prodigal guitarist 'randy' - the song -'no more tears'. enjoy!

learning the ways of the blog

many thanks to abhijeet mehta:) for helping me out understanding the ways of the blog- sometime stil to go i believe before the chitgoesque website experience reaches superstar status, but till then....let the games begin:)....(literally)

i woke up at 11 am today, late for the usual working man, thanks purely to one of the most joyously competitive sports a man can engage in as an individual and in a team- midnight cricket. For AIESEC in India's scores of legendary MC's, this is one of those experiences that leave you with a headrush- especially when your part of a legacy slugging it out with a new team- i.e the 'incoming'. Who won? well....theres more coming up:)
