A fun but tiring mid-week birthday celebration. Mind not quite in it but the heart pulls through. Discussions around changing patterns in the amount of time we can spend with each other amidst the manic crazyness that life presents. I'm glad she's enjoying the work though, keeping aside the ridiculously difficult commute.

Finally, a chiller scene with an old friend from across the border. Some interesting realizations and the amazement around how some perceptions can be so conservative, even in the supposedly 'developed' and exposed parts of the world.

So much happening when it comes to the passion of work. A great get-together of almost uncharacteristic sorts on friday with Moets culminating into retro-classics at smokehouse. need to take T there.

Have promised T that I'm going to read all the Harry Potter's uptil the half blood prince so that I can enjoy the movie in November when it releases. Don't know how the hell I'm going to manage it but some how, I've got to make it happen. Long flights should offer that opportunity. Lucikly, the other mega-release in November doesn't carry the weight of such a responsibility. Quantam of Solace is going to rule.

The other brilliant book I'm currently reading is Obama's 'The Audacity of Hope'. There are still Americans that believe in core elements like hard-work, deserved security and a respect for one another, features that shine through in this intellectual political discourse.

In other news, couple of new tunes and the enjoyment the capo has brought to the 6-string has almost promised a set-piece creation by the end of this year. Hard work and dedication is what is going to see that come through. Actually, it's pure passion and the desire to make it happen in tandem with some pretty nifty time-management which shall deliver the sapna. Sapna tera aur mera

Birthday shopping for some of the August-borns was completed today - thank god. I know a lot of people born this month.

India's getting its ass kicked at both the Olympics and in Sri Lanka. Why am I not surprised?
