bleeding eyes and rocking bonds

a quick note to say that i watched casino royale today....
pointers for anyone that hasn't seen it yet:

1. if you're like me and have always wanted to see 'bond' actually kick some ass rather than press some thingamajing from the back left pocket of his perfectly creased italian cut trousers (which even after a raging gun fight stay immaculate): then daniel craig is your man. the man is badass with a capital B (aka Bond:))...delivering some major beat downs on the baddies with the cold steel stare that i think shall become synonymous with the dude. the fact that he is fitter than any bond (or the culmination of all bonds for that matter) rocks as well....the boy bleeds, gets cut and almost dies of a cardiac arrest (which is a fairly pansy way to go luckily he has a self-delivering pulmonator in his car...phew!)

2. ok, so craig's brilliance as a severe 'can of whoop ass'type personality takes a beating with his more 'softer' side. no sooner has he met this accountant chick that he falls in love and decides to give in his resignation....what rot!? utter nonsense gets thrown in the movie , which is terrible cos it interferes with a pretty awesome game of poker....plus the 2 main characters had NO chemistry...i mean when i say no i mean no. these guys made brosnan's and berry's chemistry look like something out of gone with the wind. yes that bad.

3. favorite dialogue of the movie?

bond: give me a martini
bartender: shaken or stirred sir?
bond: do i look like a give a damn?

Challenge the tradition! and as achewood character roast beef says during the great outdoor fight!! "become the ruling body dude!"

thoroughly enjoyable and its back to the masti next week with work, reunions and some interesting visitors into the northside. stories, tales, pictures and updates to follow.

:-D But I disagree with the NO chemistry part....

actually, i agree with the no chemistry part... the girl sucks. she really ruined the shower scene, that was awesome from his side. i generally enjoyed his soft side (surprise surprise :)), his irrational outbreaks and the fact that he's still a bit naïve... made him human. lovin it!

I thought she sucked before I saw the actual movie. But in the movie I found Eva Green brilliant...and loved the two together, especially the fact that they left out steamy sex scenes. It wouldn't have been right for this movie :)

Yesterday, I just watched one of those Pierce Brosnan Bond movies, the one with Teri Hatcher and Michelle Yeoh in it. They may be beautiful, but THAT's a movie where there's no chemistry at all if you ask me! Plus, I just can't stand Teri Hatcher's high-pitched voice. Eva Green's voice make her so much sexier...

:-)

saw it last night and i am still dealing with the trauma of seeing what they did to that beautiful car and then i learn today that they destroyed not one, not two but THREEEEE Astons in the making of that scene....given what the accountant chick does later on....hmmm....I'm wondering if it was worth it?!!

Loved the movie though...and Judi Dench just keeps getting better as M! Plus Daniel Craig - apart from playing an amazing role, I sincerely appreciate the 20 pounds of muscle he put on for the role :D
