september

In Latin, septem means "seven". The origin of the name may also be attributed to Vedic culture. In sanskrit, Sapta refers to "seven" and Ambar means "sky". "Sapt-Ambar" referred to the seventh sky or month in the Vedic culture. September was also the seventh month of the Roman calendar until 153 BC.

an important month for many around me. you know who you are. some important events, a birthday of tremendous significance. the beginnings of what will be the best months of weather that the capital has to offer. weather and festivities I have been away from for 2 years. not this year, dC in the midst of the colorful chaos, engagements, weddings and more.
jaipur in the last week of this month, countdown to an ambiguous date in october marking a long-awaited return.

the last weekend of august was marked with the pleasurable company of shahana, bheesh and shivani (friends stretching back to school and college days)...
it rained and poured down with much vengeance (possibly due to essentially dry months of july and august) on saturday...still couldnt keep me away from 'climax' which wasn't all that worth checking out- the lush green view from their various balconies being the only respite.

on a different note, the RSJ(rock street journal for the uninitiated- indias' answer to rolling stone magazine) continues its assault on the senses with some phenomenal rock acts through the month of september which I shall surely get down to witnessing...the entire listing can be found here

random mails from kalra still have me rollicking with laughter and shikul has been missing in action for ages now. the course must be deadly time consuming....

a long chat with N last night consistently left a smile on my face. that was nice. stories from IC had me reminiscing, remarking, joking and laughing away. some things never change. thank u, the imagery was vivid and heart felt.

september 05 i just landed in switzerland. september 05 i just finished IC. its been one year.
holy crap.

Its been one year. Feels too long and too short at the same time.

Delhi will soon start gearing up for Diwali-can almost feel the chill in the air and the smell of fireworks.

I love that some things dont change.
