blabbering.

first of all, someone shoot ronan keating. if he does another cover of some fantastic song of the past i'm going to gag and amass great sums of wealth from worldwide sources to have him surgically incapable of any bodily movement or action. IRIS?? he wanted to redo iris? fake, untalented loser....
ok now that thats out of my system.
moving onto ugliness in sport. i think one of the biggest reasons the world is rejoicing over croatia's defeat is not just that they play the ugliest game of football known to mankind but that we would be rid of their checkered jerseys for posterity. now im no fashion expert but those things are an eyesore. before u start judging me here, please understand that most football matches happen at 2am here and i'm semi drowsy/falling asleep especially with countries like these on display. seriously, they should switch to rugby considering the amount of pushing, shoving and hand balls they execute with idiotic precision.
ok, what else? its funny how the wierdest things make you miss your friends. the most recent of which was while watching nelly furtado's new video- 'maneater'. rob, this one had me thinking of you and had me smiling to myself. i think you know why as well. miss you tremendously.
otherwise brazil and japan was a great match...i loved the initial scare the samba boys got in the first half and was pleased with their replies. although one has to admit that if it wasnt for the shit japanese goal keeper, it could have been closer. ronaldo's return to the goal scoring table was decent , yet a far cry from his earlier days. argentina is still the team of the tournament for me.
meeting old friends at cafe morrisson was a blast last week. i have a feeling its going to become a new haunt and fast. good music, good food and an ambience much too common yet comfortable in the pubs of delhi.
distance is difficult. i was fooling myself if i thought technology and hard work would come together as a saviour of sorts. much strength and maturity needs to be mustered, tiring and exhausting it is.
the apartment gets whitewashed as we speak, a new abode, a new direction. anew.
oh and its not time for needs and wants. for the music lover readers to this blog, please put in top 5 songs that you're currently listening to. if ronan keating features on the list, I don't know you anymore. And im serious. slight musical drought at the moment...

My top of the moment..
Gnarls Barkley - Crazy
Gotan Project - Criminal
James Blunt - No bravery (live)
Muse - Feeling good
Ben Harper - Better way

Trying to keep a positive atmosphere for the exams.. but definitely going crazy ;)

Hahahahahaaha Dhruvli, I've had the same thought about those checkered jerseys LOL Although, I find that in the match Croatia vs. Brazil, they played quite well. At least I don't disagree with you on Ronan Keating. Otherwise I'd be dead meat :-D Ronan? Puh-leeeasse. He had like two good songs in the past, et c'est tout. Guess what: At the Miss Zurich elections 2006 (about six weeks ago. No shit, that exists! It even came on TV! And a former school mate of my boyfriend was one of the candidates...Switzerland is so embarassingly tiny LOL Miss Zurich? Who cares???) the guest-star was Ronan Keating! LOL Guess they couldn't find anyone else ;-)

Oh, and "Maneater", I'm sooo hooked to that song! For about three weeks now. My other four top songs at the moment (sinc I'm a music lover, I just have to reply to your post):

- Jeune Demoiselle (DIAM'S)
- Para tu amor (Juanes)
- Be without you (Mary J. Blige)
- Shake that ass (Eminem feat. Nate Dogg) -> I totally hate the lyrics of this last song, but the beat is great

And because I can't stick to just 5, here a few more hihi :

- Caminho das aguas (Maria Rita)
- Berlin 44 (DJ İpek İpekçioğlu, DJ Pasha & A.B. Trinity)
- Temperature (Sean Paul)
- I'm not my hair (India Arie)
- Quelqu'un m'a dit (Carla Bruni)
- Everybody rock (Martin Solveig)

Big hugs to you Dhruvli !!! Oh, and btw: Could you give me the UNFPA recruitment person's contact details? So I can ask sometime about the traineeship? Thx :)

hahahahahaha... how i miss that humour of yours! very very true, totally agree with one tiny exception of course (argentina??? and i put so much hope in you, dear). anyway, my current top 5:
tom novy feat. michael marshall: your body
elis regina: aguas do marco
damien rice: cannonball
lou barlow: legendary
arctic monkeys: i bet you look great on the dancefloor

hugs, c.

there's a very popular show called the Footy Show here and they did a World Cup special. On that, they had Ronan Keating singing Iris, wish you could've been here to enjoy it :-)
