arivederci, sayonara, later, adios, alvida...*sigh*
I say goodbye tonight, to the city of vada pavs, bandra, awesome metros, andheri station, vikhroli station, dadar and not to mention my favorite- VT. I say goodbye to the nimbu pani guy at VT, the hot chocolate guy that stood two stalls next to him, kolaba- gokuls, mondy's , bade miyan, the taj , gateway of india...i say goodbye to pecoes, ghettos, polly's , hawaiin shack and 'just around the corner'...i say goodbye to powai and that little nepali dude who i still call 'nutan' despite knowing that the little restaurant that serves the best aloo cheese paranthas goes by that name. I say goodbye to godrej hillside colony and ghatkopar- geneva and a million other locations will come my way- but these 2 tiny suburbs is where my heart lost , and i will now and forever give in to true nostalgia.
i say goodbye to the fact that delhi is my favorite city- mumbai has officially taken over, and i feel it now more than ever.
I say goodbye to the cricket ground of vikhroli and the sounds of sam still shouting 'greaaaaat yaar' and amit screaming ' sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee'..i can still see us playing at 4 oclock in the morning with kartik in his verbose brilliance convincing the guards to let us play another 6 hours....where are u KS?
I say goodbye to the city of true happiness- with no attitude and no bullshit- a city of class, and class difference; a city of style and stylish exuberance, a city of athena and provogue lounge , and a city of a million fruit vala stands, a city of the best juice stands and hadji ali....
I say goodbye to my most loved part of mumbai- the corner of not just jazz, with pizzeria next to it and baskin robbins across it, i say goodbye to marine plaza and the most delicious midnight buffets accompanied by inane conversations and drunken withdrawals...i say goodbye to the most awesome corporate working atmosphere i have ever seen.
I say good bye to the city that i 'grew up in'....and to the greatest friends i ever made....
agra beckons now...and the world begins to set foot on the new-land of the future. IC creeps nearer- and the earth thunders with the sound of the global village in our backyard.
'say goodbye'- madonna...

beautifully written bro!
:)
While you maybe walking away from a place that you hold dear...
your also walking towards a dream that you've been living everyday...IC 2005!
Even though I've only known you briefly..its inspirational to know that people that I know can take big things and make them more than ideas...or reality...but make them happen!
in my world thats a sign of a true leader....:)
Its a sign that if people around me can do it...I can do it to..just pushes me more!
AIESEC has that effect doesnt it?
Good luck with IC...its awsome that your living your dream and its great that I'm living mine while being in India.
While Mumbai maybe the city where it all came together
India will always be the country where I found myself....found the passion, the spark..to believe that I could truly be whatever I wanted...

And you will be back if you want to.
